KATHMANDU, Jan 12: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said he was committed to protecting national integrity and sovereignty.
Releasing a novella, Amako Man, penned by UML leader and litterateur Pradip Nepal in the Capital on Thursday, Chairman Oli claimed that he stepped down from the government for the protection of sovereignty and nationality.
"I spent my 52 years' of politics for the country. I never do the politics to divide and delude people," he reiterated.
The politics of trickery and the politics of service must be taken differently, he said, adding that communists should be honest, committed and restrained.
On a different note, leader Oli urged one and all not to dream the restoration of monarchy in the name of honoring Prithivi Narayan Shah.
The book penned by leader Nepal is centered on the political aberrations. Critics Dr Kumar Prasad Koirala and Gita Tripathi spoke on the novella.
Writer Nepal also marked his 64th birthday taking a cake from Chairman Oli's hand at the programme. RSS
