I haven't interfered: Gachchhadar

POKHARA, Sept 24: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar on Saturday claimed that he hasn´t contacted any of the security personnel since becoming home minister.



Speaking at a one-day-regional conference related to security in Pokhara, Minister Gachhadar said, “I haven´t called any security officers after becoming home minister to put pressure on them.” [break]



He urged the security chiefs to work independently. “I request all of you to remain free of politics and not get bothered by any individual interference,” he said.



Gachchhadar clarified that his main aim during his tenure is to make home administration free of political interference and corruption.



He said those found making money from public would be sacked.



Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rabindra Pratap Shah, IGP of Armed Police Force Shailendra Kumar Shrestha, and Chief of National Investigation Department, among others, also took part in the one-day-long seminar.
