BUTWAL, June 27: Speaker Subas Nembang said on Saturday that the ongoing obstruction in the legislature-parliament would end Sunday.

"Talks are under way among political parties. I also worked toward ending the standoff. I am optimistic that the dialogue taking place among all the concerned parties will help make headway by Sunday," Nembang said here at a function.

He said that the country will face a serious financial crisis if the parties fail to start the budget session soon by ending the ongoing stalemate in the parliament. "I have talked to the top political leaders and have alerted them about the possible consequences," Nembang said.

He also pointed out the need for a higher level of understanding among the political parties in the changed political context.

"Otherwise, the country will be pushed to the brink of serious political crisis," he said. He claimed that the task of drafting new constitution will be completed within the stipulated date.
