KATHMANDU, JULY 17: Lawmakers from the Social Justice and Human Rights Committee are scheduled to meet Dr Govinda KC Monday to take stock of his condition and discuss his demands.
Dr KC has raised very serious issues of the health sector and medical education, Sushil Kumar Shrestha, chairman of the committee said.

“The committee will discuss the demands put forth by him and instruct the government to address the demands.”
The issue has become very sensitive as Dr KC’s health is deteriorating, he said, adding that the parliament should address his demands in a way that he would not have to stage hunger strike again.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament (MP) Gagan Thapa on Sunday visited Govinda KC and promised to raise KC’s demands in parliament.
