House panel to continue recording statements of suspended CJ Rana today

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The Impeachment Recommendation Committee will continue to record statements of the suspended Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana today.

The meeting of the Impeachment Recommendation Committee is scheduled to be held at 12:30 PM at Singhadurbar. The suspended Chief Justice Rana is scheduled to give a statement in today's meeting.

Out of 42 questions prepared by the committee, Rana has answered only 11 questions so far.

On March 5, 2022, 98 lawmakers filed an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana. On March 6, the House of Representatives formed an 11-member committee to investigate the impeachment.
