House concludes pre-budget deliberations

KATHMANDU, June 28: The Legislature-Parliament on Tueday completed deliberation on the priorities and the principles of the Appropriation Bill for Fiscal Year 2011/012. Parliament had been holding discussions on the bill since the last three days.



In this connection, the legislators finished expressing their views on the Appropriation Bill for the preparation of the budget for the coming fiscal year before it is tabled in the Parliament.[break]



The Parliament held discussions on the priorities and principles of the budget on June 24, 26 and 27.



This is the first time after the election of the Constituent Assembly that the Parliament has held discussions on the priorities and principles of the Appropriation Bill.



At the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today, Speaker Subas Nemwang informed the House that the Parliament Secretariat will submit to the Finance Ministry the point raised by the MPs during the deliberations.







Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari had tabled the Appropriation Bill in the Legislature-Parliament for discussion on June 22.
