Hotline service for trafficking-victims

KATHMANDU, Feb 22: The Nepal Police's Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku has launched a hotline phone service in a bid to ease rescue operation of trafficking victims.

Operated in collaboration with Nepal Telecom, the hotline number 1177, is expected to facilitate in the investigation of trafficking cases as well, according to the Metropolitan Crime Division, Teku.Division's Superintendent of Police (SP) Sahakul Thapa said that this toll-free phone service comes to being with an objective to rescue victims, both home and abroad, and to take action those involved in this crime.
