KATHMANDU, May 5: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has asked the hotels designated as quarantine facilities for those traveling from India via Air Bubble service not to charge more than Rs 3,000 per person per day.

The tourism ministry has permitted eight hotels in the capital to provide quarantine service. These hotels include View Bhrikuti in Godavari, Madhav Hotel in Guheshwari, Airport Hotel in Sinamangal, Farm House Resort and A-one Resort in Jagati and Amadablam Hotel, Readers Inn and Ananda Ashram in Gaushala. These hotels have 91 rooms in total.

The hotels will have to provide airport pickup service, lodging and food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) within the cost of Rs 3000, inclusive of all taxes and service charge.

The government has made it mandatory for those travelling from abroad to stay in hotel quarantine for 10 days. The government has also warned to take action against those defying the order.

With a huge surge in cases of the coronavirus infection, the government has suspended both domestic and international flights, with the exception of allowing two flights to and from India in a week. In addition, the government has allowed airlines to operate chartered flights even during the suspension period.
