Hospital selling date expired medicines

RAJBIRAJ (Sagarmatha), Nov 25: It has come to the public notice that the Bhardaha hospital Pvt Ltd based in Bhardaha of Saptari has been distributing date expired medicines to patients.



The secret has been made public when the hospital’s own pharmacy was found selling date expired medicines to Chandra Prasad Mali (21) of Bhardaha-1. [break]



He had been the hospital in course of the treatment of nose. Making public the invoice and date expired medicines given from the pharmacy within the hospital premises as well as the hospital’s prescription, Mali said sale of such drugs from the very sensitive institution like hospital could put the patients’ life at risk.



Victim patient Mali has registered application at the District Administration Office, Saptari demanding legal action against the hospital since it is sheer negligence of the private health institution to the public health.



Locals have also supported application of Mali demanding action against such private hospitals which are doing business in the name of providing service to people.
