"Laws related to education should be implemented. You have to hold discussion as to why you have not got results of the investment made in the education sector," said Speaker Ghimire.

The constitution has guaranteed the rights of each citizen to basic education, he shared, adding although basic education is free, the provision has not been implemented.

Laying emphasis on the need for increasing the quality of education for economic, social and cultural reforms, the Speaker said there is still a situation in the country in which the general public is compelled to admit their children to private schools for their better education even after cutting other necessary expenses.

There is participation of school management committees of all 753 local levels across the country in the two-day conference.
