KATHMANDU, Aug 18: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for 11:00 am today.
Four ministers will respond to lawmakers’ queries related to their respective ministries during the meeting.

The ministers for Foreign Affairs; Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; and Agriculture, Forest and Environment will respond to lawmakers’ queries on issues related to their respective ministries.
Similarly, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam will present the seventh annual report (fiscal year 2081/82) of the Tharu Commission at the HoR meeting.
Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal will present a proposal seeking consideration of the Passport (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS.
Minister for Law Gautam will table a proposal seeking consideration of the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083 BS. She will also table an agreement relating to the UN Agreement on Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction.
Five parliamentary committees will also hold meetings later today. The committees scheduled to meet are the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislation Management Committee, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and Federalism Enablement and National Concerns Committee.
