KATHMANDU, Sept 21: In response to the steps taken by protesting teachers who declined to engage in negotiations with the Education Minister, the government has entrusted Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha with the responsibility of leading the negotiations with the agitating teachers.
Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka announced that Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha has been tasked with conducting negotiations with the protesting teachers after they expressed their unwillingness to negotiate with the Education Minister Ashok Rai.
DPM Khakda further explained that discussions took place in the morning concerning the first phase of the negotiations, with the next phase scheduled for Thursday evening. He emphasized that any agreements reached during these negotiations would be diligently implemented.
This highlights the government's commitment to finding a resolution to the ongoing issues raised by the protesting teachers, ensuring that their concerns are addressed through dialogue and constructive engagement, according to government officials.
