KATHMANDU, June 28: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, along with a delegation of seven members, has left on a five-day visit to China. He flew to Sichuan, China, at 11:20 pm on Tuesday.


As a special guest, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha will participate in the opening ceremony of the 'Western China International Fair(WCIF),' taking place in Chengdu on Wednesday.

During his visit, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha will also visit Sichuan University, where he will address around 300 international students currently enrolled there.


Similarly, he will also visit the post-earthquake reconstruction site of Yindiyu Earthquake, the 'Hydro Junction' in Jingpu, and the irrigation system and rural revitalization project in Dujiangan.


The accompanying delegation cncludes Joint Secretary Lok Bahadur Thapa from the Foreign Ministry, Joint Secretary Rudradevi Sharma from the Home Ministry, Joint Secretary Mahesh Baral from the Industries Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha's private secretary Suresh Kaji Shrestha, Rastriya Samachar Samiti correspondent Ashok Ghimire, and bodyguard Baburam Kharel.
