Speaking at a condolence meet organized by the Krishna Mohan-Nudup Memorial Foundation on the occasion of the 9th Memorial Day of founder Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF), Krishna Mohan Shrestha, DPM Gachchhadar directed the security officials to work for peace in a professional manner in view of keeping the peace process going.[break]
On the occasion, Gachchhadar said it would be a real tribute to the late Shrestha if the police forces follow the contributions and performances of Shrestha.
He also pledged to initiate a process to announce Shrestha a martyr from the government side.
Similarly, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rabindra Pratap Shah said the demise of Shrestha was an irreparable loss to the security force and the nation had lost a leading and veteran security expert.
Likewise, Inspector General of the APF, Shailendra Kumar Shrestha said strengthening the organization by learning from the contributions of the late Shrestha in time of transitional situation would be a real tribute to him.
On the occasion, Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi and dalit activist Durga Sob were honored with Krishna Mohan-Nudup Peace Prize. The prize carries a purse of Rs 10,000 each.
Similarly, sub-inspector of Nepal Police, Gita Ranabhat, and sub-inspector of APF Raju Khadka were awarded with a prize of Rs 7,000 for their best performances.
Likewise, Binod Ale Magar and Ayushma Bhandari were given away the Krishna Mohan-Nudup Scholarships for their outstanding performance in the last year´s SLC examinations. The prize carries a purse of Rs 7,000.
