Speaking to reporters at the Biratnagar Airport, Bhattarai said, “The present government is already useless. If the High-Level Political Mechanism is unable to change the government, the mechanism would have no meaning.” He said the Maoists should lead the government by holding a referendum.
Bhattarai further said that unless such a government is formed the constitution will not be written on time. He also objected at the prime minister´s inclusion in the mechanism.
Govt won´t change: Gachchhadar
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar said no one can change the present government.
Gachchhadar, who reached Biratnagar on Friday, said, “No one can topple the present government.”
He also assured the government that the current government would write the constitution on time. “This government will take the peace process to its logical conclusion, manage the combatants and write the constitution.”
