Khand admitted that Nepal has been slow off the mark in hydropower production in terms of its richness in hydro resources. “However, the electricity is wasted in the rainy season while it is imported from India in the winter season,” Minister Khand said, stressing the need for exporting surplus energy to reduce trade deficit.
Khand said the government is friendly to entrepreneurship. “Government and people are two sides of the same coin,” he said. The Kapilvastu Festival will last for 10 days.
