LALITPUR, May 23: Police have arrested the driver of a tipper truck involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Gwarko, Lalitpur, on Wednesday night. The incident, which resulted in the death of Jayanath Yadav, 32, from Siraha, was captured on CCTV. Yadav, who was riding a motorcycle, succumbed to his injuries at B&B Hospital.
The tipper, identified by its license plate (Ba 3 Ba 6621), and its driver, Chhoisang Tamang, 26, from Godavari Municipality-6, were apprehended on Thursday in Gairigaun, Godavari Municipality. Lalitpur Police spokesperson SP Naresh Raj Subedi confirmed the arrest.
