Chetnarayan Dhakal, 42, of Nijgadh died after being hit by a truck (Na 2 Kha 4060) on Wednesday night. The relatives have been blocking the highway since 10pm on Thursday demanding compensation.
The banda has left dozens of vehicles and hundreds of travelers stranded at Nijgadh in Bara and at Chandranigahapur in Rautahat. Talks to resume the highway had not taken place until Friday afternoon as the truck owner was not present, police said.
