KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Nepal remains under the influence of monsoon and local winds, raising the risk of heavy downpours in several provinces, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has warned.
Heavy rainfall likely in some provinces today
This afternoon, skies are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the nation. Moderate rainfall is expected in some hilly and terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in parts of Madhesh Province and scattered areas elsewhere. The MFD cautioned that heavy rain is likely at one or two locations in the terai region of Lumbini and in the hilly belts of Karnali and Bagmati.
By nightfall, cloudy conditions are likely to persist nationwide. Moderate showers are likely in the hilly and terai areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with parts of Madhesh and a few areas of other provinces. Heavy rain may also lash one or two places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, according to the division.
