KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court (SC) over the ‘donation’ of land by Bhat-Bhateni owner Min Bahadur Gurung to the CPN-UML was deferred on Monday.
Achyut Kuikel, spokesperson for the SC, said that a joint bench of SC justices, Dr Nahakul Subedi and Nityananda Pandey, deferred the hearing on the case.

The SC had issued a short-term interim order on October 28 after a preliminary hearing on the writ petition. The apex court summoned both sides for a hearing on Monday to decide whether to continue the interim order.
A piece of land which was registered in the name of a businessman and was ‘donated’ to the CPN-UML was transferred to the name of Bhat-Bhateni SuperMarket and Department Store, just ahead of the hearing at the SC on the ongoing dispute over the ‘donation’ of the land to the UML.
