KATHMANDU, April 3: A hearing on the writ petition filed by CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli against 14 lawmakers including CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is currently underway at the Supreme Court. The hearing on the writ petition is being conducted by the joint bench of SC justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Nahakul Subedi.
Earlier, Oli filed the petition at the Supreme Court, seeking the removal of the 14 lawmakers from the HoR and the provincial assembly and invalidating the newly formed party, CPN (Unified Socialist).

Another petition was filed against Speaker Sapkota, accusing him of ignoring the termination of the lawmakers against whom the CPN-UML had taken action.
