KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The hearing on the citizenship dispute of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has ended at the Supreme Court.
Today, the legal professionals pleading on behalf of Home Minister Lamichhane put forward their remaining arguments. After that, the hearing was over after the petitioners argued their reply.
Even though the discussion has ended, a decision will be made today either through a summary statement or by scheduling a date for the decision to be announced.
Questioning Lamichhane's eligibility to be a member of parliament, advocate Raviraj Basaula and others filed a petition on December 14 demanding the cancellation of Lamichhane's position as MP.
