KATHMANDU, November 9: The hearing at the Patan High Court on the writ petition filed by the accused in the fake refugee case seeking their release has been postponed.
The Kathmandu District Court had ordered the accused to be remanded in custody for the trial, and they had appealed to the Patan High Court to have this order overturned. The public prosecutor's office has also filed a petition requesting that individuals released on bail be detained, and the case be allowed to proceed.
The case was scheduled to be heard at the bench of Judges Murari Babu Shrestha and Krishna Ram Koirala. But the hearing has been postponed.
