KATHMANDU, July 7: The Supreme Court yet again deferred the hearing on the writ petition demanding court order to resume vote counting in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Hearing on the case was postponed on Friday after a division bench of justices Meera Khadka and Anil Kumar Sinha could not manage time for the hearing and issued order to include the petition on cause list for Monday.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Cholendra SJB Rana had asked both sides to attend the hearing to decide whether to continue the interim order.

CPN-UML candidate for a ward member in Bharatpur-19 Gunjaman Bishwakarma had filed the writ petition demanding apex court's order to resume vote counting after the Election Commission decided for re-voting in ward-19 of Bharatpur. 

The EC took the decision as CPN (Maoist Center) cadres tore around 90 ballot papers during the vote count of ward-19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City fearing possible defeat of their election candidate.
