Krishna Adhikari murder case: Hearing on the case postponed yet again

CHITWAN, Nov 27: The Chitwan District Court on Sunday failed to come up with a verdict on the murder case of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha. 

The court will now hear the case on January 9 as District Judge took a leave today. 

It is for the second time the verdict was postponed although written and verbal debates on the case have already concluded. 

Earlier, the Judge had taken leave on November 8, the day the court was scheduled to announce a verdict on the case. 

The verbal debates on the case by legal practitioners had already ended on September 27. Following the conclusion of the verbal debate, Judge Teknarayan Kunwar had ordered to present written debate notes. The court was scheduled to hear the case on November 8. 

According to Information Officer of Chitwan District Court, Krishna Baral, the hearing on the case was postponed at the judge is leaving for United Kingdom  today to attend a program related to girls trafficking.

Adhikari was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by the then Maoist cadres in 2004 as he was in Chitwan to meet his grandparents. 

His father Nanda Prasad Ahikari had already succumbed to hunger strike staged for the justice of his murdered son.
