Police had arrested Gurung on the charges of revenue leakage, running financial transactions sans license, running bank sans license and cheating the commoners.
Registrar in the district court, Ramesh Prasad Gyawali, said that hearing is underway in the single bench of Judge Baburaja Karki.
Gyawali said hearing on revenue leakage and running financial transactions have been completed till Monday. The hearing will continue on Tuesday as well.
The members of Unity International have been charged to amassing over four billion rupees by charging Rs 15,000 each from its 366,000 plus members.
The Unity International had been investing in housing, insurance, banks and many other sectors without license.
