KATHMANDU, Aug 12: The Medical Workers´ Union has announced protests from Wednesday demanding amendment to the Health Act and rectification of irregularities in the purchase of medicines for free distribution among others.

Organizing a press conference, president of the union Bhagirath Baniya made public the protests that include indefinite halt to reporting from sub-health posts to the center.

Baniya said they were forced to announce the protests after their demands went unheard time and again. He, however, maintained that the protests won´t affect the common people.
