An assembly of the Women Health Volunteers that concluded recently declared only 133 women health volunteers at the Lalitpur Sub-metropolitan City as the national ones. [break]
Those who were not included in this category were agitated and organized the sit-in protest at the Sub-metropolis Office, today, after the agreement to implement the decision of declaring them as national volunteers was not implemented.
The local bodies provide the national volunteers Rs. 1,500 and other facilities, said Shobha Achhami of the Lalitpur Sub-metropolis Ward No. 22.
The Sub-metropolis has a total of 701 health volunteers in all the 22 Wards of the Sub-metropolitan City.
