KATHMANDU, Aug 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has reduced the cost of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test by 1,100.
According to Sameer Kumar Adhikari, the assistant spokesperson for the MoHP, the rate of PCR test has been lowered to Rs 4,400 from 5,500.
The decision of the ministry comes amid reports that some private hospitals in Kathmandu, which were allowed to conduct PCR test for COVID-19, were found to have charged extra fees.
