A three-member selection team comprising coordinator Ratna Man Gurung, senior coach Jeevan Basnet and Jayanta Sharma selected 16 players out of 19 from five development regions and three departmental teams -- Army, Police and Armed Police Force.
The selected players are Bishal Nepali, Somkaji Gurung, Bishal Basnet, Dipendra Bista, Sandesh Regmi, Bishnu Raj Giri, Dinesh Bista, Birendra Chand, Deepak Bohara, Padam Nepali, Amar Shrestha, Tara Thapa, Rajendra Hamal , Prakash Rawal, Phuldev Chaudhary and Kodilal Chaudhary.
Fourteen players will be selected in the final round. According to Tej Bahadur Gurung, closed camp training will be held in Pokhara from November 18.
Shooting selection from next week
KATHMANDU, Nov 9: The final selection of players for the 11th South Asian Games shooting event will take place from next week.
According to Nepal Shooting Association, the selection will take place on November 16 and 17 at the shooting range, Satdobato.
Nepali players will participate in four categories in men´s and women´s section in SAG.
