Though Halloween is a western culture, an increasing number of Nepali youngsters are attracted to the festival due to the chance it provides for dressing up as various characters. Halloween is celebrated in many countries on October 31, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows day.
It is the time in the year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the departed. It is believed that this tradition originated from ancient Celtic. In some parts people celebrate Halloween by going to church and lighting candles to remember all the departed souls.

The major activities of Halloween includes attending Halloween costumes parties, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, playing games, doing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories and watching horror movies.
To mark the occasion, the Queen Lounge, Thamel organized Halloween themed party at its premises on Saturday. Staffers of the Bar had decorated the place with scary mannequins and dummies with clothes soaked in blood and a torn entrance. The music and ambience were both coordinated to give the party animals a good time.
