BIRATNAGAR, March 20: With the onset of spring season, a hailstorm has battered the eastern region of Nepal on Monday.

There have been around a two-foot high hailstone in Bhendetar of Sunsari district.

Likewise, Saptari road section along the Mahendra Highway has also witnessed hailstorm.

There has been a sudden change in the weather in the eastern region.

The skies above Biratnagar have been overcast with dark clouds followed by lightning and shower since last few hours.
