HETAUDA, Feb. 6
: Airing views by the group leaders in the closed session of the UCPN (Maoist)´s national congress has concluded.

Some 63 group leaders have delivered views of their respective groups in the ongoing closed-door session being held at the industrial corridor of Hetauda, according to party spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota.

The UCPN (Maoist) had divided groups, each comprising 50 delegates, for focused group discussion.

Collective discussion was made by dividing delegates into 63 groups.

Among those airing views on the occasion were Balaram Thapa, Surya Prakash Sharma, Bhola Sapkota, Shiva Dangi, Komalnath Baral, Saral Sahayatri Poudel, Hiranath Khatiwada, narendra Khadka, Om Kumar Dahal and Sunita Gautam.

They have stressed the need to put to an end anarchy emerging within the party, take action against those violating party discipline, present clear view on the issue of nationality and remove factionalism.

They also pointed out lack of coordination between the government and the party and demanded party operation as per the spirit of the People´s Movement.

Former commander of People´s Liberation Army (PLA) Saral Sahayatri Poudel heavily criticized the irregularities carried out in cantons of the PLA and the conducts of senior commanders.

The closed session should be given mandate to choose office-bearers in the party, he said, adding that those bargaining for posts should not be offered high posts.

Likewise, another group leader Komalnath Baral, who is also the Chairperson of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), said the party has neglected the information and communications sector.

He urged the party leadership to pay ample attention to this sector, which he said is an important body of the party.

However, all group leaders have seconded the political document tabled by party Chairperson Prachanda in the closed-door session.
