Govt to unveil policies and programs on May 19

KATHMANDU, May 16: The government's policies and programs is ready to be introduced on May 19. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal gave this information in a meeting with Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Tuesday morning.

KATHMANDU, May 16: The government's policies and programs is ready to be introduced on May 19. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal gave this information in a meeting with Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Tuesday morning.


Speaker Ghimire reached Prime Minister Dahal's residence in Baluwatar this morning to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dahal. The parliament meeting, government policies and programs and budget were discussed during the meeting.

“I would like to inform you that the government is preparing to present policies and programs on May 19,” Dahal reportedly said during the meeting.


PM Dahal also praised Speaker Ghimire for trying to coordinate and cooperate with all parties to ensure smooth functioning of parliament. He also said that parliament has caught the pace that will make it easy to finalize the pending bills in the parliament.


Speaker Ghimire stated that the Parliament Secretariat has also prepared the policies and programs and budget. He expressed gratitude for the support received from the government and political parties for the operation of the Parliament. 


Speaker Ghimire also said that the parliamentarians had complained that the government did not provide answers on the issues raised in the meeting of the House of Representative (HoR). He also urged Prime Minister Dahal to take this matter seriously.
