Govt to operate public vehicles during Tihar holidays

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: The government has decided to operate 12 vehicles on different routes in the Capital during Tihar holidays for the convenience of people.

The services will be available from November 11 to 14.


A meeting of the government high-ranking officials Tuesday held under the chair of Chief Secretary agreed to operate bus services 12 hours a day (from 7:00 am to 19:00 pm), the Ministry of General Administration said.

Five vehicles- one of the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, two of the Education Ministry, one of the Judicial Service Training Center and one of the General Administration Ministry- will depart for the Ring Road from Lagankhel.

Two buses will move on the Kirtipur-Ratnapark-Jorpati route – in which Home Ministry and Local Development Ministry will contribute one bus each, while the General Administration Ministry will run a single bus along the Ratnapark-Thankot route.

The General Administration Ministry will also run a single bus on Ratnapark-Bhaktapur-Suryabinayak route while Peace Ministry operates one bus along the Ratnapark-Lagankhel route while Printing Department will run a bus on the Ratnapark-Kalanki-New Bus Park route.



Moreover, the Health Ministry's bus would move along Ratnapark-Pepsi Cola route and Ministry of Science and Technolog's on the Ratnapark-Banasthali-Swayambhu route, the Ministry said. RSS
