Govt to expand capacity of Teku Hospital to 300 beds

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government is planning to upgrade the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, commonly known as the Teku Hospital, to a 300-bed facility.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government is planning to upgrade the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, commonly known as the Teku Hospital, to a 300-bed facility.


Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 at a joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on Monday, Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat announced that the hospital will have 300 beds.

He also said that Rs 460 million has been allocated for the expansion of the infectious disease hospital.
