Govt to build suite for VIP foreign guests

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Office of Nepal Trust has forwarded a proposal to the government to build suite for the VIP foreign guests visiting Nepal. 


The Trust has submitted a proposal to build sophisticated l25 such buildings in the 39th meeting of Board of Directors held in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on July 15, according to Trust's Secretary Bhim Prasad Upadhyay.

The ultra-modern buildings will, however, will be constructed with Nepali cultural and traditional style and will be built in the land owned by the Trust. 


The meeting held in the chairmanship of DPM and Minister for Home Affairs Bhim Rawal, who is also chairperson of the Board of members, had endorsed various agendas such as leasing the Trust owned lands and buildings and building 25 suits for VIP guests among others. 


On the occasion, Secretary Upadhyay had submitted the annual report of 2070/71 and 2071-72 to PM Oli. As per the Nepal Trust Act, the annual report is to be submitted to the Prime Minister and the PM submits it to the parliament. 


The Trust so far has assumed the ownership of a total of 25,600 ropanis of land previously owned by former kings and his family members. RSS
