KATHMANDU, July 26: The government has stepped back from the earlier 9-point agreement with the representatives of Dr Govinda KC.


According to a source, the government has disagreed on a point to stop establishing new medical colleges in Kathmandu valley as recommended by the Mathema Commission.

Earlier both sides had made consensus on the 9-point agreement. Both teams were heading toward Teaching Hospital to sign on the deal. However, the government at last hour disagreed on the point.


The meeting between both sides is still underway at Baluwatar to reach on the final agreement.
