KATHMANDU, June 26: The government has reduced the fares of inter-province public transport. With the decrease in fuel prices following a ministerial meeting on Saturday, the government has reduced the fare of public transport.
On Saturday, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) reduced the price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter and diesel by Rs 29 per liter. The Department of Transport Management has reduced the fare of public vehicles by 5.1 percent, freight vehicles operating in hilly and Terai region by 6.97 percent and 7.68 percent respectively.
