Govt service centers to be restructured as per federal system

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: The government has started preparations to restructure the service centers run by various government bodies in various parts of the country in line with the federal system.

During a secretary-level meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) on Monday, Chief Secretary Som Lal Subedi directed secretaries of all the concerned ministries to immediately form a taskforce and begin necessary study for restructuring and relocating their service centers in line with the federal system envisioned by the constitution.  


Chief Secretary Subedi has asked the secretaries to keep in mind the population distribution and accessibility of the services for service seekers while devising plan to restructuring and relocating the existing service centers, according to a press statement issued by the OPMCM.
