Govt’s policy and programs tabled in parliament amid NC’s obstruction

KATHMANDU, May 21: The government’s policy and programs for the coming fiscal year that were read out by President Ram Chandra Paudel on May 14 have been tabled in the House of Representatives (HoR) amid obstructions by the Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party.

KATHMANDU, May 21: The government’s policiy and programs for the coming fiscal year that were read out by President Ram Chandra Paudel on May 14 have been tabled in the House of Representatives (HoR) amid protest by the Nepali Congress (NC), the main opposition party.


NC Joint General Secretary Badri Pandey first addressed the HoR held on Tuesday.

After he addressed the parliament meeting, Speaker Devraj Ghimire gave time to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to table the government’s policies and programs in the House.


PM Dahal reached the rostrum and tabled the policies and programs amid security by marshals.


Speaker Ghimire also passed a motion of thanks to President Ram Chandra Paudel today.


Then Speaker Ghimire announced that the meeting of the HoR had been adjourned till 11AM on May 24.
