KATHMANDU, July 1: Two bills have been tabled in today's meeting of the Legislature-Parliament. The Judicial Council Bill 2073 BS and Forest (second amendment) Bill-2071 BS are tabled in the parliament.
Law Minister Agni Kharel proposed that the parliament consider the bill and the parliament meeting unanimously accepted it. Earlier, lawmakers Radheshyam Adhikari, Janakraj Joshi, Ram Narayan Bidari and Prem Suwal had complained saying that the bill failed to address expectation of the people and the judicial bodies were beyond the access of public.

They had urged for the reformation on the bill. The Law Minister Kharel assured that the government was working out to make justice accessible to the people. He clarified that judges should be responsible to the country and people, adding that that there was no confusion in this regard.
Likewise, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation Agni Sapkota presented a proposal in the parliament meeting urging it to send the proposal to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussions. The proposal was also unanimously accepted by the meeting.
The meeting is holding discussions on the appropriation bill. RSS
