KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the government of delaying the School Education Bill, 2080 BS.
At an interaction program with the students organized by the ANNISU (Revolutionary) in Kathmandu on Thursday, Chairman Dahal said that the Bill was delayed due to the ruling alliance parties, the CPN (UML) and the Nepali Congress.
Chairman Dahal, also the former Prime Minister, said that the current issues in the education sector would be resolved if the parliament passed the School Education Bill, 2080 BS, and the recommendations of the High-Level Education Reform Commission were implemented.

Prachanda said that there is a need for collective commitment to bring about a radical change in the education sector.
He pointed out that if the School Education Bill, 2080 BS, is passed, many issues would be resolved and called for its prompt implementation.
Emphasizing the need to link education with skills and employment, he said the state should take responsibility for education.
Stating that it is ironic that there has been no improvement in the education sector so far, Chairman Dahal admitted that the reformative education policy could not be implemented as planned.
