LAHAN, June 13: The agitating Federal Alliance affiliate Sadbwana Party General Secretary, Manish Kumar Suman, said the letter received from the government on Sunday for resumption of negotiations has been viewed in a positive light.

In a briefing with journalists this morning, Suman said the Alliance will hold a meeting and come up with a substantive standpoint regarding the government proposal.

The General Secretary said the Alliance remains prepared for relevant and result-bearing dialogue. "The Alliance wants an outlet through dialogue and negotiations, the agitation prolonged because the government is not serious," he stressed.

Suman further confided that the Alliance has been hoping for the government's preliminary statement on its 11-point demand including treatment of agitators injured in Madhes uprising, martyrs' status to the dead and withdrawal of cases against the demonstrators. "We will sit for dialogue as soon as the government comes up with a statement," he shared. RSS
