Govt preparing all-party meet on coronavirus threat

KATHMANDU, March 11: The government has decided to call an all-party meeting to seek suggestions and feedback for fighting the coronavirus that is fast spreading across the world.

KATHMANDU, March 11: The government has decided to call an all-party meeting to seek suggestions and feedback for fighting the coronavirus that is fast spreading across the world. 


High-ranking government officials said the meeting is being called as all political parties have a role to play in tackling the growing menace of the coronavirus. Various political parties have been criticizing the government for lack of preparedness against the virus threat.

The officials said the meeting also aims at forging a common political understanding about the measures that the government needs to take under the circumstances. “We have not yet set the exact date for the meeting but it will be summoned very soon.
