Govt prepares to transfer more than 50 joint secretaries

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The government has prepared to transfer more than 50 joint secretaries as a part of inter-ministerial and inter-unit transfers. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has submitted a proposal to the Council of Ministers to transfer at least 55 joint secretaries.

KATHMANDU, Nov 6: The government has prepared to transfer more than 50 joint secretaries as a part of inter-ministerial and inter-unit transfers. The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has submitted a proposal to the Council of Ministers to transfer at least 55 joint secretaries.


According to sources at the Office of the Prime Minister, after the Council of Ministers approves the proposal, Chief Secretary Dr Baikunth Aryal will verify the list. Therefore, there is a possibility of adjustments to the list.

According to the source, the decision to transfer the joint secretaries has been finalized. The list of those who will be transferred will be released before the verification process is concluded. Those who have been stationed in the same positions for an extended period, those with considerable tenure in the provinces, and those designated to be relocated to the provinces are included in the initial list.


Details about which ministry or department the joint secretaries will be transferred to are not yet available. On September 5, as many as 58 joint secretaries were transferred simultaneously.
