KATHMANDU, June 21: The government is going to establish its embassies in two Gulf countries-- Bahrain and Oman.
The government is to open new embassies in these countries as per the (March 7, 2013) decision of the Council of Ministers.
Under-Secretaries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Durga Bahadur Subedi (Bahrain) and Jhabindra Prasad Arayal (Oman) have been appointed the Charge d´ Affaires of the new embassies in these countries. The appointment was made as per the recent ministerial-level meeting.
Mr Subedi who is involved in the foreign service for two decades has already served in Myanmar, the United Nations and Tokyo whereas Mr Aryal was already in London, Riyadh and Brussels in connection with his long experience in foreign service.
The newly appointed diplomats will set out for their respective working stations next month, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
