KATHMANDU, May 13: The cabinet on Thursday approved a plan to build Banke National Park, which would be the longest tiger habitat stretch in Asia.

The government had announced to build the 550 sq km national park during the historic cabinet meeting held at Kalapatthar last year.

The Banke National Park Buffer Zone falls in Banke (7 VDCs), Bardiya (1 VDC), Dang (3 VDCs) and Salyan (3 VDCs) districts.
