A cabinet meeting held at the official resident of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday morning decided to send the regulations to the cabinet´s Bills Committee, after giving its nod to enforce the regulations. [break]
Minister for Information and Communications Shankar Pokharel said the decision was taken as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing to start issuing MRPs shortly.
Minister Pokharel said the cabinet meeting also approved a proposal of the energy ministry to conduct feasibility study on Dhalkebar--Mujaffapur transmission line to bring electricity from India.
Among other things, the cabinet meeting has also endorsed prime minister´s delegation for the Global Tiger Summit at St Petersburg in Russia on November 21-24.
Altogether 13 tiger range countries including Nepal are taking part in the conference being held at the initiative of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. The conference will formulate Global Tiger Action Plan to conserve the endangered animal.
