Govt not obstacle to consensus: Minister Yadav

KATHMANDU, Oct. 21: Minister for Information and Communications, Rajkishor Yadav has said the incumbent government is no obstacle to ending the political stalemate.



Launching the first transmission of the Araniko Television established in Kavrepalanchok district, here on Sunday said consensus and co-work is necessary but major political parties were the hindrances, without referring which the major parties were.



The transmission of the television which was making test broadcast from last year was started today. Television Chairman Bhola Thapa said the television has a policy to broadcast news on economy, agriculture, tourism, water resource and livelihood of the people with priority.



The television started with an investment of Rs. 10 million of four media persons including Thapa has 30 staffs at present.



The terrestrial technology television is the 14 Th television of the country, said Thapa. It will broadcast programmes in 12 districts including Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dhading, Nuwakot and Rasuwa and also aims to broadcast other programmes including news.
